Robert Ritchie

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

An insurance industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience, Bob Ritchie has built and transformed businesses ranging from startups to large national insurance companies. His vast background includes specialty niche insurers, such as American Modern, national carriers, including AIG and CNA, and conglomerates, including GE Insurance Solutions. He brings this experience to benefit American Integrity and its policyholders.

Bob is a leader who understands the needs of both his customers, the agent, and the policyholder. His specialties are broad with a strong analytical base along with profound success in sales and marketing. As the founder of American Integrity, he is committed to the success and growth of the Company along with the stability of the Florida insurance marketplace.

Bob has been at the forefront of shaping and advocating for needed property insurance reform that affects all Floridians. This legal crisis has a direct impact on insurance and insurance rates.

He and his wife Donna founded the Ritchie Hockey Foundation after the passing of their son Jason, a lifelong hockey player. Through the organization's work, they serve student-athletes, helping them discover and reach their potential. Since its inception in 2009, 16 scholarships have been awarded, and numerous local children have been served with annual free baseball and hockey clinics.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Evansville. He graduated with a BS in Finance with a minor in music.  He serves on the board of Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI), a public-private partnership between Florida's business and government leaders, and is the principal economic development organization for Florida. EFI's mission is to expand and diversify the state's economy through job creation. In pursuit of its mission, EFI works closely with a statewide network of economic development partners and is funded both by the State of Florida and private-sector businesses.

Jon Ritchie

President

Jon is the President of American Integrity Insurance Company. Jon’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and strategic vision have been instrumental in driving American Integrity’s growth and success. Since joining our company in 2009, Jon has demonstrated a remarkable ability to navigate the complexities of Florida’s property insurance market. From the beginning of his American Integrity career as a Product Analyst to his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer, Jon has consistently proven his ability to lead with integrity and innovation.

Serving as COO since 2019, he successfully managed day-to-day operations across critical departments, including risk, claims, underwriting, client services, actuarial services, and IT, while maintaining full profit and loss responsibility. His efforts have positioned American Integrity as one of the few companies in Florida’s residential property insurance market to achieve profitability during challenging times.

Jon brings a wealth of expertise, entrepreneurial success, and a strong academic foundation to his new role. He earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Indiana, Kelley School of Business, in 2013, where he was a fellowship participant with Toyota Corporation and a faculty-selected member of the Entrepreneurship Management Academy. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University in 2007.

Dick Dowd

Executive Vice President - Sales and Marketing

As the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dick will set strategies to accelerate profits, revenues, market share, and work to further deepen American Integrity’s partnerships with preferred independent agency partners, increasing the company’s footprint and brand awareness throughout Florida.

Dick has significant experience in new product development and management of distribution networks, and has a proven track record of producing top and bottom line results that far outpace the insurance industry.  Prior to joining American Integrity, Dick served in several key executive roles, including: Senior Vice President of Property for Aegis Security Insurance Company, Executive Vice President of Sales for American Modern Insurance Company and Senior Vice President of Personal Lines for Harleysville Insurance Company.

Dick possesses a unique blend of expertise in sales and product, personal and commercial lines, and standard and specialty lines. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hobart College and holds his CIC designation.

Angie Quinn

Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer

Angie Quinn brings nearly 20 years of operational and leadership experience in a variety of corporate roles related to human resources, quality, training, planning, and performance management.  Angie previously held roles of increasing responsibility with SITEL Corporation, including director of human resources and just prior to joining American Integrity served Citizens Property Insurance Corporation for five years.  

Angie’s leadership accomplishments have been focused on executing strategy to promote organizational excellence; increasing employee engagement and serving on key projects within each of her organizations.

Angie has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from Peru State College, Nebraska; and is an active member of several professional organizations, including Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Additionally, Angie is a recent graduate of an executive leadership program sponsored by the University of North Florida. 

Brent Radeloff

Executive Vice President of Product, Pricing, and Underwriting

Prior to coming to American Integrity, Brent led the Western Region Product Management team in Personal Lines at The Hartford from 2013. In addition to managing the P&L of the region, he led the team through a pilot of lean management systems and transitioning the pricing role to a new centralized function. Upon arrival at The Hartford in 2011, he implemented rate and underwriting changes to improve New York agency auto results by 20 points in two years.

Prior to coming to The Hartford, Brent spent five years at Travelers managing the P&L as Product Manager for three different regions. He also led the successful completion of several strategic projects including the build of a key pricing tool called “disruption” and integrating it into Travelers maintenance IT infrastructure.

In over eight years at GMAC Insurance, Brent held roles of increasing responsibility, where he successfully led the development and implementation of a new auto product in the direct to consumer affinity business while achieving growth and profitability targets. Prior to GMAC Insurance, Brent held actuarial roles at American Bankers Insurance Group (Assurant), and C.N.A. Insurance.

Brent earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University and completed the Executive MBA program at Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He enjoys spending time playing golf, traveling and renovating properties with his wife Kim. 

Jerry Higgins

Senior Vice President of IT

As the Senior Vice President of Information Technology, Jerry leads both our Software Development and IT Operations teams, where his experience across multiple IT disciplines enables business transformation that results in competitive advantage and growth.

Jerry brings over 30 years of Insurance and Financial Services – specific IT experience to American Integrity with a majority of his tenure being with Allstate Insurance Company.  Jerry has served in multiple capacities across a wide spectrum of IT disciplines including Infrastructure and Operations, Architecture, Project Management, and Application Development.  He also served as the Chief Information Officer for Allstate’s internal brokerage – Ivantage Select Agency.

He enjoys creating purpose-driven teams using the Agile mindset, and his philosophy in work is the power of self-directed teams and works towards building teams of Technologists and Business Professionals ‘sitting on the same side of the table solving problems together.’” 

Jerry received his BS degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northern Illinois University and attended the University of Chicago Executive MBA program, where he also completed the Capstone Business Simulation, the world's gold standard in business simulations.   

Michael Sperounes

Senior Vice President of Litigation

As Senior Vice President of Litigation, Michael Sperounes leads and establishes strategic direction for our litigation department, while identifying trends and emerging issues facing Florida’s complex and dynamic property insurance market.

Michael is a graduate of the University of South Florida (Honors: 1985) and Stetson College of Law (J.D. 1989). Sperounes joined American Integrity in 2018 and he brings significant trial experience focused on first- and third-party insurance defense. He has advised and represented Florida’s property insurers in first-party property disputes arising from sinkhole, windstorm, fire, mold and water losses as well as represented insurers in coverage litigation.

Michael’s 30 years of legal experience includes the position of Tampa Managing Partner for one of the oldest Florida regional insurance defense firms.

Wei Xie

Senior Vice President of Pricing and Actuarial Services

Wei brings an extensive background in actuarial service and management to the American Integrity team. In his role, he leads the company’s actuarial pricing team. He will be responsible for leading the pricing and reserving efforts as well as introducing advanced predictive analytics to our business model.

Prior to joining American Integrity, Wei started his career as a consulting actuary for major property and casualty insurance carriers and then moved into insurance corporation world, Zurich Insurance Company and Berkley Oil and Gas (a W. R. Berkley company). During the course of his career, he has managed teams in reserving, pricing and predictive analytics while also leading the development of actuarial infrastructural changes within those organizations.

Wei is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and holds a Master of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin.

William Arnold

Vice President of Legislative Affairs

William sets the direction of American Integrity advocacy efforts in the industry, focusing on top issues including Florida’s overly litigious environment and roof claim abuse to substantially reduce our exposure to litigation and restore financial health to our industry. William reports to our CEO and President as an integral member of our American Integrity leadership team.

William joins us from Florida’s Senate Banking and Insurance Committee, where he oversaw a large policy portfolio that included property and casualty insurance, ratemaking, reinsurance, the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, and other insurance issues. His previous state government experience includes service at the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, within the Executive Office of the Governor, and as campaign manager and aide to a future Speaker of the Florida House. With his deep and extensive knowledge of the issues facing our industry, William is well-suited to perpetuate American Integrity’s role as the thought leader of Florida’s property insurance market.

William earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University and holds PIR and APIR designations from the NAIC and 2-20 and 6-20 licenses. A proud husband and father, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Ryan Hodges

Vice President of Risk Management

Ryan has more than 11 years of insurance and reinsurance experience with expertise in risk management, catastrophe modeling, analytics, data management, and product development. Ryan will be responsible for leading the Risk Management department, focusing on catastrophe risk management, portfolio risk management and reinsurance strategies.

Prior to joining American Integrity, Ryan worked for Tokio Marine Technologies, a subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings, for over 11 years. In his role at Tokio Marine, he was responsible for managing various risk quantification, process improvement, and product development initiatives. He also has extensive reinsurance pricing experience obtained through working with one of Tokio Marine’s Reinsurance subsidiaries, both in the Bermuda and London markets.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of West Georgia and holds his ARe (Associates in Reinsurance) designation.

Toni Logan

Vice President of Marketing

Toni has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, most of which she acquired while working for property and casualty insurance companies. She has worked in corporate communications for USAA and Allstate Insurance companies, and most recently as corporate communications manager at Security First Insurance Company.

Toni is responsible for leading the company’s marketing strategies - branding, advertising, lead generation, sales team support, competitive analysis, content creation, public relations, marketing communications and stakeholder relations. In her role, she and her team are charged with helping to analyze and constantly improve the user experience, ensuring each touch point is personalized, consistent and professional, and developing and maintaining the company’s digital properties.

Toni, who grew up in Tampa, is a graduate of the University of South Florida and the University of Florida, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mass Communication, respectively. 

Trevor McDonald

Vice President of Claims

As our Vice President of Claims, Trevor will have responsibility for our Inside Claims, Field Claims, and Claims Support teams. He will also help to oversee American Integrity’s catastrophe claims response. 

Trevor has decades of experience in homeowners insurance claims, including experience in the field.  He has served with national, regional and Florida domestic carriers in positions of increasing responsibility. Trevor also has earned a variety of Property & Casualty insurance credentials, including the prestigious CPCU designation, as well as his AIC and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations.

He holds a Master of Science in Risk Management from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  

Patrick Madigan

Vice President of Underwriting and Client Services

Patrick Madigan has 20 years of experience in underwriting, product, pricing, strategy development, and process efficiency in the insurance industry.  He began his career at CNA Insurance and progressed through positions of increasing responsibility at Nationwide and Kemper Insurance companies before applying his leadership skills in the vendor space, working for a business process outsource organization that provides IT services to the industry. Before joining American Integrity, Patrick established underwriting strategy for a newly formed regional company writing business in the Southeastern United States. 

Patrick’s strength is building highly effective teams that function efficiently and have fun doing it.  He has an established track record of identifying and removing roadblocks to improve individual, team and process performance. Patrick is recognized in the industry and is frequently invited to speak at industry events about operational efficiency in underwriting, implementing new systems and managing significant change in an organization. 

Patrick earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Penn State University, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Matt VanVelsen

Vice President of Sales

Matt VanVelsen plays a critical role in our sales strategy, helping with the creation and execution of our strategic initiatives. He will lead our team of Sales Directors and Territory Sales Managers as we continue to solidify our strong relationships across our distribution channels

Matt was most recently a Zone Sales Director with Foremost Insurance in Atlanta, GA. There, he led a team of eight Territory Sales Managers with responsibility for South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. In that role, his team was Zone of the Year for Foremost for three years and managed growth across 17 product lines, achieving a $220M revenue goal (4% growth) over the last two years. Matt has been with Foremost his entire insurance career, which spans over a decade. Matt was named the National Sales Person of the Year in 2014 as a Territory Sales Manager with Foremost. Additionally, over the last seven years, Matt was able to promote three of his TSMs, and two of the company’s “National Sales Person of the Year” came from his zone during that time.

Outside of work, Matt is an avid golfer. In fact, he earned a marketing degree with an emphasis in Professional Golf Management from Ferris State University. After graduation, he became a Class A PGA Professional for eight years, which included being an Assistant Golf Professional, Teaching Professional, and Director of Golf. Matt and his wife have two children.

John Walsh

Vice President of Innovations and Data

John Walsh brings over 20 years of P&C insurance operational, analytical and leadership experience in a variety of roles managing data analytics, customer experience, sales, agency support and quality & process management.  At American Integrity, John is responsible for leading business intelligence, special projects and strategic partnerships across the organization.

Prior to joining American Integrity, John held the role of Director of Insurance Operations for Auto Club South Insurance Company and Auto Club Insurance Company of Florida at AAA for 5 years.  There, he led initiatives resulting in significant improvements to company Net Promotor Score, agency satisfaction and policy retention.  John also held a lead role in successfully introducing the AAA Car Care Plus business line into the Florida market in 2019 by leading the efforts in business analytics, quality and process development. 

Prior to joining AAA, John worked at Progressive Insurance for over 15 years and held positions of increasing responsibility including a diverse range of insurance leadership and analytical roles where he consulted in large business initiatives to develop operational, sales and growth strategies. 

John studied Business Management and Psychology at the University of South Florida and is a United States Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
